Terman Library launches new website

Terman Engineering Library has a new homepage, check it out. We updated and revised our content to meet our users needs. This includes an expanded list of online resources , an updated technology section with information about our Kindle lending, Gadget bar and available software . We also completely revised and updated all of our research guides . Information about Course Reserves is included in the section on Using Terman Library.

We welcome your feedback on the new website. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.

Solar House Going up near Terman Park

The walls are going up on the Stanford Start.Home, a student-designed and built zero-emissions house next to Terman Park. Walk by and see them at work or track the progress on Facebook.
Later this summer, the team will practice dismantling and re-assembling the house in preparation for the Solar Decathalon competition, which will be held in October in Irvine, Calif.

Particle Confirmed - It is Higgs!

Confirmation came today that the particle discovered last year IS the Higgs boson. "The preliminary results with the full 2012 data set are magnificent and to me it is clear that we are dealing with a Higgs boson though we still have a long way to go to know what kind of Higgs boson it is," said CMS spokesperson Joe Incandela.

Panel Discussion on Online Learning--March 5, 4-6, Mackenzie Room, Huang Center

The Stanford School of Engineering and the National Academy of Engineering are co-hosting a panel discussion on Tuesday, March 5 from 4 - 6 p.m. on the timely topic of online learning. The event is open to the public as part of the regional symposium for the National Academy of Engineering (NAE).

This event will be held in the Mackenzie Room in the Huang Engineering Center. See you there!

Ike's Place Hours and Menu Update

Operating Hours:
Ike's Place has temporarily changed their business hours during the 2013 Winter Quarter to close at 5:00 p.m. It is anticipated that they will return to their normal closing hour of 7:00 p.m. by the beginning of the Spring Quarter.
Winter Quarter Hours:
Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Ike's Place Menu:
There have been a few updates to the Ike's menu. Ike's offers an economical "Starving Student Menu" option, which includes four different full-size sandwiches for $5.00. Each comes with Ike's famous Dirty Sauce and choice of bread.
