Computers

The Art & Architecture Library Reading Room has five PC kiosk stations, two of which are available for use by non-Stanford affiliated patrons. Three additional stations are located in the stacks, on levels 1 and 2, and on the mezzanine. These computers are meant for online research, e-mail access, and printing; they do not have word processing capabilities. There are two printers in the Reading Room, one black and white and one color.

Scanners

Three Mac stations, available for general use, support 12” by 17” flat bed scanners. These computers are equipped with the Adobe Creative Suite and the FTP client software Fetch. Patrons may reserve these computers for an hour at a time by signing a log at the Circulation Desk.

Viewing Stations

The Library has four DVD and VHS viewing stations: two 42”, wall-mounted screens that allows for group viewing, and two 20” stations for one or two person viewing. There is one additional VHS viewing station. Headphones may be checked out at the circulation desk.

Copiers

Two self-service photocopiers are available on the Mezzanine level. One accepts cash only and prints both black and white and color copies. The second accepts cards only and prints black and white copies. A microfilm/fiche reader/printer is also available; ask at the circulation desk for assistance.

Library staff have been trained in the use of the equipment that the Art & Architecture Library offers. Please ask at the circulation desk if you have any questions or require assistance.
