Supporting the Changing Research Practices of Chemists: Research Support Services: Chemistry Project

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) recognizes that researchers are often being asked to publish Open Access (OA), but do not have the funding to pay for it directly.

This year there are even more opportunities for students to play and win great prizes like the new Apple iPad, Beats Audio earphones and more! We'll also randomly select a grand prize winner and the contest-within-the-contest prize goes to the schools with the highest number of participating students. Each week, we'll highlight a specific function in Knovel that engineers in the workplace say helps them get the job done! Contest runs from September 10th to December 1st.

The Swain Library iPad Pilot Program includes four iPad2s that are loaded with a number of apps relevant to the “Mobile Chemist and Chemical Engineer.” We’re hoping that users at all stages of their careers will find these iPads useful. The iPad2s have 32 GB of storage space and WiFi, and also come with a power cable for charging and a padded case.
