Question: How can I find the full text of the New York Times online?
Answer: For full-text access, search for the title "New York Times on the Web" in SearchWorks. Click on the link that reads "Find full text," which will take you to a list of databases that offer access to that newspaper.
For 1985 to the present, use NewsBank Access World News.
For 1851 to 2005, use ProQuest Historical Newspapers.

SULAIR News is a great place to: announce upcoming and current workshops and exhibits; highlight new collections, acquisitions, and projects; make staff announcements, including new hires and open jobs; and so much more.
It’s easy to get started. First, log in to the SULAIR News Web site with your SUNet ID. Once logged it, you can click the Submit Article tab/link that’s located either at the top of the page or in the left hand navigation bar under SULAIR News, and follow the simple steps on the page.
Please note: we’ve added one additional step in the submission process. Many users enjoy seeing who submitted the articles. Drupal, by default, will add an email address and date stamp to the end of an article, but will not add a submitter's name. To remedy this, we are asking each submitter to please include your name and library/department name at the end of your article (e.g., Jane Doe, Information Center).
Remember SULAIR News is a useful communication tool only if SULAIR staff contribute articles.

Results of the recent campus peak-trip survey are in, and SULAIR won hands down! The survey responses were tabulated by division: for potential solo car trips during peak hours, we came in lowest (i.e., best) both in the morning and afternoon commutes, at 25% and 21%, respectively.
Question: I'm looking for primary sources from Parliament members, British officials, or merchants involved in the opium trade. I'm starting with Parliamentary debates leading around 1840-1842, and was wondering if there's an easier way to do this than going into the stacks and looking at the index books for those years.
Regina Roberts has taken on the responsibilities of Subject Bibliographer for Anthropology and Sociology. She began her new responsibilities in Fall 2009. She also continues to have responsibility for resources related to Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) Africa. Regina has her B.A. degree from Smith College, M.A. in African Studies from Stanford, and MLIS from San Jose State. Prior to her work with African Collections at Stanford, she worked in libraries at UC Santa Cruz and Harvard. I am pleased that she has taken on these important social science responsibilities and has joined the Social Sciences Resource Group. Her office is in the SSRC suite, Room 123B.
