We've recently begun using JIRA to submit and tracking requests for digital forensic services at SULAIR. JIRA is software designed facilitate project management of software development. SULAIR's Digital Library Systems and Services has successfully been using this software to manage, track and quantify requests for digitization of Special Collection materials. With the tracking of forensic service requests we are planning on using the statistics we're able to gather from JIRA to better understand digital forensic services. Some of the questions we hope to answer are: the volume of requests, the types of forensic services needed (imaging, analysis etc.) and the source of requests. This data will be a key in helping us better understand what SULAIR needs in regards to digital forensic imaging and analysis. Setting up our JIRA project has in six short hours already solicited two enquiries. More details on the volume and type of requests will follow in the coming months.
