Due to overcrowding of the East Asia Library mezzanine stacks and to provide sufficient space for future growth, the EAL will begin a project to transfer select materials from the Chinese, Japanese and Korean collections beginning on July 8, 2010. The transfer will be on-going for approximately 8 weeks. All material transferred to SAL3 will be pageable from Socrates.
Criteria for transfer varies according to the needs of each collection, but online access, programmatic needs, and low use are factors. Please see the following lists for titles selected for transfer:
