EEMs Home
In their everyday work, Stanford University Libraries & Academic Information Resources (SULAIR) selectors find digital material they want to add to the SULAIR collections. They needed a workflow to add material found on the web as PDFs, text files, etc. or brought to their attention through email distribution lists.
With grant support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, SULAIR Digital Library Systems and Services (DLSS), in collaboration with the Office of the University Librarian, Technical Services, and Public Services developed software, a workflow, policies and procedures for processing Everyday Electronic Materials (EEMs).
Information about the project is being shared here so that other libraries may benefit. Please feel free to adopt or adapt SULAIR policies and procedures for use in your organization. The software will be distributed on GitHub.com as part of the Hydra collaboration.
