  • ACM Digital Library
    This site provides searchable and browsable access to many ACM journals and transactions beginning with volume 1. I also includes conference proceedings as far back as 1954, as well as many Special Interest Group (SIG) publications. Part of the ACM Portal to Computing Literature which includes the ACM Guide to Computing Literature.

  • CiteSeer
    A scientific literature digital library and search engine that focuses primarily on the literature in computer and information science.

  • Computing Research Repository
    Allows researchers to search, browse and download papers from its free online repository.

  • Compendex (Engineering Village)
    Contains over 9 million records and references over 5,000 international engineering sources including journal, conference, and trade publications. Also known as Engineering Index.

  • IEEE Xplore
    Provides full-image access to the publications of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE); includes all journals, magazines, standards and conference proceedings.

  • INSPEC
    Provides a comprehensive index to the published literature in physics, electrical/electronic engineering, computing, control engineering, information technology, production, manufacturing and mechanical engineering as well as materials science, oceanography, nuclear engineering, geophysics, biomedical engineering and biophysics. Coverage begins in 1898.

  • Scopus
    The world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources. Contains 41 million records, 70% with abstracts including 18,000 titles from 5,000 publishers worldwide and over 3 million conference papers. Particularly strong international coverage of science and technology. Also includes sophisticated tools to track, analyze and visualize research. Linking between ScienceDirect and Scopus for the fulltext of the article and related research.

  • Science citation index expanded
    An international, multidisciplinary index to the literature of science, technology, and biomedicine. Over 4,000 journals representing all scientific disciplines are indexed. The database covers 1900 to the present, and records from January 1991 to the present include abstracts. Cited reference searching is a valuable feature of the database. Science citation index expanded and is available via ISI Web of Knowledge/Web of Science. The database is also known as ISI SciSearch

Find Tech Reports

Searching the Mathematics & Statistics Library Technical Reports Collection
All technical reports held by the Mathematics & Statistics Library can be found in SearchWorks, by searching for the title of the report.

The collection includes computer science, mathematics, statistics, and operations research technical reports from various sources around the world from the mid-1950's to the present. The bulk of the collection is composed of computer science-related reports issued by U.S. institutions from the 1970's and 1980's. Many were later published in magazines and refereed journals.

Searching for and Downloading Stanford Computer Science Technical Reports and Notes

The most recent technical reports (2000+ ) can be found at http://hci.stanford.edu/cstr/ To search for technical reports or browse the Computer Science Department technical reports and notes available online (with abstracts) by decade and by type. Click on the link of the report (if available) to download a copy from the ftp site. Please note that only some Stanford technical reports are available online. Reports published prior to 2000 can be found in SearchWorks.
