Computer Cluster

The cluster contains 11 PCs. All are attached to a laser printer, have access to the Internet, and CD-ROM drives. A scanner is also accessible from one of the cluster computers. Priority is given to students required to use course software. Technical questions about the cluster should be directed to tecc@soe.stanford.edu or  browse the Terman Engineering Computer Cluster Website. Graphing Calculators

Engineering has TI-84 plus and TI-89 titanium calculators available for checkout. Either can be checked out for 4 hours and used in the library.

Kindle2 E-book Readers

The library has a pair of Kindle2 readers used for Course Reserve material and another pair which circulate like regular books. See our Kindle page for more information on these devices.

Copy Machines

There are two self-service photocopy machines, one on the first floor and one on the second floor. These machines both accept vend cards or the StanfordCardPlan cards, the first floor machine also accepts change. Each copy is $0.13 with a vend card/StanfordCardPlan. Vend cards are $1.00 each and can be purchased at one of the following locations:

Both microfiche and microfilm printers ($0.13/page) are located on the second floor. These machines only accept vend cards/StanfordCardPlan cards.

The copy machines are owned and maintained by an outside vendor, questions regarding these machines should be directed to the vendor at (650) 725-1036.

Printing

B&W (black and white) and color printing are available from the kiosk and cluster computers. The prices per page are $.10 for B&W and $.50 for color. Visitors can purchase a Vend Card for $1.00 and load funds for printing.

DVD Viewing

The library has DVD players on most of the desktop computers in the library, which can be used for viewing of DVDs.
