The Music Library is housed in Braun Music Center very near the campus post office and is wheelchair accessible.
The entrance to the Archive of Recorded Sound is on the lower stack level.
A Stanford ID is not required for access, but borrowing is restricted to valid card holders.

Ask at Circulation for CDs, DVDs, course reserves, microforms, Locked Stack and Box Collection items.

Study carrels are available to qualified researchers. Log in with your SUNET ID (see link at left) and then apply here.


Copying

Photocopies are 15 cents/page; or 13 cents if using a copycard or StanfordCardPlan.

The photocopier accepts coins and small bills.

Printing from kiosks and the microfilm machine costs 10 cents. These machines accept cards only (no cash).

5 computers access the Socrates library catalog, library digital resources, and the web;
Printing is available with a copy card or the StanfordCardPlan.
2 ear-training stations with MIDI keyboards run interactive music theory and ear-training programs.
4 computers stream audio from subscription databases.
Ask for headphones at Circulation.

Wireless access is available throughout the building.

Listening & viewing

Listening carrels include turntables, CD, and cassette players.
4 computers stream audio from subscription databases.
A video room allows playback of DVD, VHS, and Laserdisc formats.

The library maintains no audio- or video-copying facilities.
