Audio recordings have been made of nearly all Department of Music produced concerts since 1950. These recordings are held by the Archive of Recorded Sound in the Stanford Recital Tape Collection (ARS.0021). Recordings can be listened to onsite at the Archive of Recorded Sound by making a listening appointment. Please note that many of the recordings are stored offsite at the Stanford Auxiliary Library (SAL3) and must therefore be paged to campus ahead of any appointment. This paging process takes 3 business days.
Copies of these recordings can also be requested. Request recordings of performances before 1 year from todays date from the Archive of Recorded Sound. Request recordings of performances within 1 year from todays date from the Music Department.
A set of printed programs, 1950-2016, may be consulted in the Reference Room of the Music Library. For programs after 2016, please contact the Archive of Recorded Sound.
