All patrons of the Archive of Recorded Sound must read and fully comprehend the Archive's Rules of Use before examining or auditioning any collection materials at the Archive. These rules exist not only to protect archival materials themselves from damage, but also the rights of relevant copyright holders in each case.

Researchers will be asked to sign in at the start of their appointment and will be asked for photo ID as part of this registration process. 

Archive staff will be available during your visit to assist with correct handling of materials.
