Claudia Willett
We are very excited to welcome Claudia Willett as our new Processing Archivist in the University Archives.

Claudia was previously the Senator John S. McCain Papers Archivist at Arizona State University, where she was responsible for the planning and management of the legacy collection of accretions spanning 1990-2014, in excess of 350 linear feet. As project manager for a multimillion-dollar grant-funded partnership with the Secretary of the Senate and Senate Historical Office, Claudia coordinated administrative requirements and oversaw appraisal, processing, preservation, description, and access work for the collection. Prior to working at Arizona State University, Claudia was the Processing Archivist at the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University.

At Stanford, Claudia will process and oversee student processing of University Archives collections of all sizes received from the administration, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. She will play a critical role in developing and documenting workflows and lead our participation in the ArcLight implementation project. She will also coordinate antiracist and reparative description efforts for the unit, joining related efforts across the Libraries and University.

Claudia received her BA and MA degrees in History, and MLS in Archives Management, from Simmons University.

Please join us in welcoming Claudia to Special Collections!
