We are pleased to announce that 170 archived websites have just been added to the Chinese Non-Governmental Organizations Web Archive Collection. A total of 367 archived websites are now available in SearchWorks (https://searchworks.stanford.edu/view/jt898xc8096). This content is also featured in online exhibit, Recording Civic Action in China (https://exhibits.stanford.edu/chinese-ngos).

The Chinese NGO web archiving project at Stanford is an effort to track, collect, store and provide access to the born-digital data of selected Chinese grassroots NGOs. 367 NGO web sites, Weibo (the Chinese equivalent of Twitter) posts, blogs, and selected news sites related to NGOs are archived on a monthly or quarterly basis. The project received financial support from Stanford University libraries, Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, and the Mellon Foundation-Council on East Asian Libraries Innovation Grants for East Asian Librarians.

The collection is curated by Zhaohui Xue, Chinese studies librarian for East Asia Library. Xue enhanced the metadata, Arcadia Falcone and Jessica Cebra, Metadata Management Librarian, have overseen the metadata production. Andrew Berger, Repository Manager, has helped fixing SDR released issues.
