Access to East Asia Library materials is by appointment only, restricted to the following Stanford ID cardholders: Graduate and undergraduate students, Post-docs, Professors (including emeriti), Staff, Fellows, and Stanford Visiting Scholars.
Please review the entry requirements before coming to campus.

East Asia Library news
As part of Stanford Libraries' research restart, materials from the East Asia Library stacks can now be paged and picked up the circulation desk. Additionally, paging of some materials from our collections at SAL1/2 for pickup at the East Asia Library has been restored.
UPDATE: As of September 9, the East Asia Library elevator repairs have been completed and elevator access has been restored. An access card is needed to use the elevator, which can be obtained from the circulation desk.
The East Asia Library will resume in-person research activities and access to physical collections for some Stanford users beginning on Monday, June 22. Faculty (including emeriti), graduate students, post-docs, visiting scholars, and academic staff will be eligible to access the library's collections by appointment.
