Access and circulation

The Science Library provides reserve services for the departments of Applied Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. For more information about course reserves, please visit the Course reserves page.
Due to COVID-19, visitors cannot enter campus libraries.

Users with limited mobility
The Science Library is located on the third and fourth floors of the Sapp Center for Science Teaching and Learning (formerly known as Old Chemistry) and is accessible to persons with disabilities. A step-free entrance to the library, located on the third floor, is via the elevator at the southwest corner of the building. The only step-free access to the upper floor of the library (fourth floor) is via the elevator (card-reader access required at all times). A guest access card can be provided as needed from the circulation desk during hours of operation. For individuals needing ongoing step-free access, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please ask at the circulation desk for help in getting materials located on upper/lower shelves. If you will need staff help, please contact the Science Library in advance by email at email@example.com or by phone at (650) 723-1528.
